Greenway Transit is the first and only transport company in North Carolina whose vehicles will be running exclusively on human energy or biofuels (biodiesel, veggie oil and ethanol-E85), reducing air pollution and environmental impact and increasing mileage and efficiency. Bike rickshaws, diesel cars and vans, hybrid and duel fuel vehicles will be used for the fleet. We believe in building a sustainable business with minimal impact on the world we live in.
In addition, Greenway Transit is partnered with two non-profits: SURGE (Students United for a Responsible Global Environment) and The Forest Foundation, allotting 5% of profits to each of these organizations. Please visit their websites for more information on their work.
Based out of Durham our services are offered to areas within the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Triangle area. Pedicabs are housed both in Chapel Hill and in Durham in order to minimize transportation needs for the bicycle-powered taxis. We accept reservations as well as offer regular business hours for the pedicabs.
